Questionable business practices

They baited us with a really low quote in writing that suddenly changed when we were in front of them to set up a policy. They kept blaming Consumer Reports and that it changes day to day but I am skeptical that it could almost double in one day. What a waste of time.

So far so good

We have been using Winder Farms for a couple of weeks and so far so good. We signed up at a promo event they were having at Galleria Mall. We'd been curious for some time, especially since my husband has a coworker who's been using Winder for years and loves them. We got a lot of coupons that definitely help offset the high prices and make it very competitive to what you see in stores. With that said, our first order arrived on time but with expired chocolate milk. We were frustrated but they included a replacement for free in our next week's order. The food is undeniably fresh - milk and produce are amazing.

Great sandwiches!

Fresh food, awesome for lunch. The roasted turkey sandwich with bacon, avocado, and aioli is a favorite.

Gwen Smyth - AMAZING hairstylist!!!

I have been to many salons in town and had many hairstylists. I rarely find someone that does a great job and is friendly on a consistent basis. Gwen is the best hairstylist I have ever had. She is extremely talented, creative, listens to what you want and delivers. Highly recommended!!!

Dr. Yee is thorough and caring

I will say up front that the wait time sucks. I usually have to wait at least 30 minutes before being taken to the back and there's still another wait until Dr. Yee comes in. For any other doctor I would not tolerate that.. BUT Dr. Yee is amazing. She is warm, caring, and very thorough. This is what makes the wait time worth it for me. Most doctors I've been to rush you in and out, and don't actually listen or care. Dr. Yee is different, she actually tries to help you.

Go there for the experience

You could do all of this at home, the reason we go to the Melting Pot is for the experience. It's fun and yes, the food is good. Rather expensive but great for special occasions. Definitely not somewhere you go weekly.

Horrible

I went in for a pedicure and it was painful to say the least. The nail tech rushed through the pedicure, cutting and scraping me with his tools throughout the whole process. I will never go there again.

Just okay

I really liked this place at first but once I started going regularly (every other week) I realized it wasn't that great. A different person did my mani-pedi every time, which normally wouldn't bother me except the level in service and quality was disparaging.

Good food, great experience

The crab dip appetizer is excellent, salmon is awesome. Best reason to go to NFI though is for the music and experience. Live Irish band and dancers, always fun!

Great cakes!

The cakes are amazing here. Favorites are the marble and red velvet. Cakes also come in little "bundtlets" in case you don't need a whole one but still want some! Yes, they are a little on the pricey side but it's worth it. This is definitely a favorite for birthdays or celebrations.
