He is the best Dr. in our city
I have been Dr. Buckwalters patient since moving to Vegas in 1999, He treats my 68yr old Husband, My 95yr old father and myself, and my 32 yr old son. We are always given the utmost care and referrals to rule out any additional problems he might find. He listens like Dr. used to do and does NOT try to play God like some do. You are not a number with Buckwalter but a person he personally cares about. He stays up on the lastest medicines and treaments. I have seen other Dr before finding Buckwalter and NOT one of them even listened or looked me in the eye!!! Arlene McCann-Kordick

It's about time by jane d. at InsiderPages
The reviews in the paper are correct about about city having a huge problem in Las Vegas with doctors over prescribing narcotics to patients, who they damn well know dont' need them, and Dr. Buckwalter is no exception.
I turned two doctors in already to the AMA as well as metro, because of doctors like Buckwalter over prescribing a ridiculous amount of prescriptions to my daughter, simply because she's addicted My daughter was a patient of Buckwalter about two years ago, and she only stopped going to him because I told her I turned him in, therefore she was afraid to go back to him.
He simply asked her what she was there to see him for. She told him she had pain in her neck because of a car accident. Without any questions or testing, he prescribed her a ridiculous amount of Oxycontin, Xanax, and Soma.
There is an episode on Intervention about a woman from Las Vegas with a prescription drug addiction. Her husband said she is on the DEA list, but in the past five years she has seen over a hundred doctors, and most of them will give her what she wants These addicts are good manipulators, but it's up to the doctors to prove the person has a valid medical reason, or not.

My favorite doctor by Yvonne R. at InsiderPages
I have several bulging disks in my back and other doctors have told me that surgery is a last resort. But they're not willing to help me with the pain. They prescribe physical therapy (30 minutes of relief, but nothing lasting) and a few Lortabs. Then they blow me off and stop returning my calls. I don't know if Dr. Buckwalter has experienced this kind of pain himself, but he is so compassionate. My job is very physically demanding, and with his help I have been able to work. Other doctors seem terrified to prescribe anything that would help me with my pain. It's chronic, and I'm hoping I'll never have to get that last resort surgery. Seems to me that everyone I know who's had back surgery came out in worse shape than when they went in. No thanks! Without Dr. Buckwalter I don't know what I'd do. Honestly, what is a person with chronic, severe back pain to do without pain meds? I refuse to believe that learning to breathe correctly will take away the pain.

Anyway, the staff is always very nice. Thank goodness they usually don't weigh me (a huge plus). They did weigh me once, but that's it. Although he's a very busy doctor, he always has time to listen. And he always says, That's a good point. So many other doctors take the attitude that if I'd just shut up they could treat me for what they assume is ailing me. I'm just being pesky by telling them the details. Dr. Buckwalter never, ever treats me that way. I guess there have been people who used Dr. Buckwalter to get their fixes. There are always bad apples who ruin things for everyone else. I'm so tired of suffering for other people's greed! Whether it's the investors who looted the real estate market, the bankers' greed that's costing at least half a trillion dollars in this bail-out, etc. (where'd that come from? Social Security?) Now some greedy jerk is trying to cost me my favorite doctor. My pill bottles nev

One of a Kind by C D. at InsiderPages
I have to admit that I have never been a fan of any doctor in the past, but Dr. Buckwalter has, thankfully, at last offered me the health care and professionalism that I was convinced had become extinct. I am by nature, or some kind of genetic disorder, completely ill at ease when it comes to Doctors and their offices??????this is still true with the exception of Dr. Buckwalter.
He is an incredibly knowledgeable physician and happy to answer all questions at any length. A surprisingly pleasant Doctor, actually. It's clear that he truly cares and enjoys the work he does. He has never rushed me??????or better, my incessant questioning??????and has always provided me with the information I wanted, needed and expect from a doctor. He also is persistent with following up regarding the improvement or change since my last visit. It's nice to know that he takes into consideration past status and actively applies it to your current condition.
I find him thorough, precise and personable beyond measure. I'm not being over-diagnosed, ignored or pushed aside??????and he doesn't terrify me!
His offices and waiting room are pristine and welcoming. I love the fact that I don't feel like going to the doctor will end in my acquisition of 12 new and exciting viruses.
His staff has always been accommodating and reliable. I see that some complain that they don't answer the phone, but I always receive the promised call-back within the day.
It is next to impossible for me to miss work and I am grateful that early morning appointments are available AND seen to ON TIME. I have never waited more than five minutes past my appointment time to be seen. Miracles still take place, apparently.
I'd really like to thank him for being the kind of doctor I would have previously bet massive amounts of money, didn't exist.

DIsappearing Reviews by C L. at InsiderPages
All of the negative reviews disappeared. Isn't that interesting. I found him to be very caring and concerned. I only went to him when I had strep and bronchitis. However, my husband was given painkillers that should not have been mixed and almost died. The pharmacy is as much to blame. I wonder how long this review will be posted before it disappears.

shame on you dr
Dr. Buckwalter is a quack! Keep your kids and older children away from him. Dr buckholder gave my 21 year old niece methadone, oxy and various other opiates and never diagnoised anything. After two years and one overdose while in dr buckwalters care she put a bullet into her head on Aug 26, 2008. Shame on you dr.

Terrible office staff. Poor Doctor.
The office staff is extremely unfriendly and unprofessional. When you ask to speak with the office manager, there is none. You are told the Dr Buckwalter manages the office (poorly). The office gives you the run around and is very inefficent helping you with requests. Also, he is a poor diagnostician. Unless you want a doctor the just refers, or someone that will hand out narcotics instead of figure out what the underlying problem is, go to someone else.

Dr, Buckwalter is a great doctor, by Ms. J H. at InsiderPages
I think he is a great doc, I have been going to him for 2 years and I am planning on going to him until he retires. No complaints about him from me! If you don't like him then don't go to him!
