As far as buffets go this is pretty good.
I like Makinos, my family goes quite often. I agree with the other reviewer - people experienced with sushi probably won't like this. There isn't anything too creative or different, basic rolls and sashimi. There are about 15 different options but the chefs will make whatever you want. There other food too like crab legs, teriyaki chicken, shrimp tempura, etc. It is a little expensive but it is good.

Makinos by Joanna M. at InsiderPages
This is the best buffett for sushi and oriental seafood. The sushi is extremely fresh. And since it is all you can it the price is reasonable. Usually at dinner they have Uni (sea urchin) which is difficult to find. I could eat here daily.

Good for sushi newbies
Las Vegas has a lot of AYCE Sushi bars (all you can eat) but if you aren't a big eater or new to sushi, you may prefer something like Makino.
This buffet serves sushi by the platter so you can try lots of different sushi and take one or lots. The sushi chefs will also make items to order if you ask them. Also nice is that they don't charge you for "wastage" so if you don't like it, you aren't stuck eating it or paying full price for it.
If you have non-sushi eaters in your party they have a nice selection of hot items, soups and salads. At dinner time they also have crab legs, shrimp and oysters.
If you have kids in your party they have lots of desserts and a chocolate fountain.
The sushi connoisseur will probably turn up their nose at Makino but it's worth a trip.

Love the Crab legs!!
If you are in the mood for some Crab legs Buffet style go to Makino Seafood & Sushi Buffet in Las Vegas Premium outlets. Dinner Prices $23.95 per person. Kids under 5 ft and 12 yrs. $11.95 Kids under 4 ft and 12 years 6.95. No freebies. Sashimi, Crab Legs, Jumbo Shrimp, Cocktail Shrimp & Oysters On the Half Shell were the specialties fro Dinner. Service was not too bad considering how busy they were. I Recommend you wait in line and be the first ones seated when the restaurant opens, or you will have to wait an hour to eat. They have Group discounts just give them a call.

Makino at the premium outlet mall.
I think the food here is good. Sushi are a little bit too big but, overall is good. Deserts are exceptional. I go to this place 2-3 per week. Servers are mostly nice. My favorite servers are Camela and Ja. These two are always smile and always treat customers nicely. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great Sushi Buffet by Vasana P. at InsiderPages
I don't usually go to a buffet restaurant except this sushi buffet restaurant. At Makino they can get all kind of sushi selection for a great price. Their food is always fresh and they cook them on front of you. I go there for lunch coz it's cheaper than dinner but mostly then serve the same items on the menu. The staff is very nice there. I highly recommend everyone who likes sushi to check out this place.
