New York New York Hotel & Casino

HOTEL ROOM: We stayed at the NY, NY hotel on the strip. We reserved a 2 night stay for $109/night. Check in was smooth with no problem except that our room was not ready. It was an early check-in so it wasn't their fault. However, they still offered us a free upgrade to a bigger room on the 34th floor with a view. The room had a long hallway before getting into the sleeping area which they justified as more square footage. Though the hallway was georgous, it had no function. The actual location of the sleeping area and sitting area was quite small. The TV was <26" and was located way across from the bed. So watching TV from bed was difficult. The bathroom was a good size with a walk-in shower, no tub. The showerhead was an older type and didn't spray out so well. The room was ALL ABOUT THE VIEW!!
FOOD AND BARS: Many of restaraunts at the hotel. Food was good. "The America Grill" charged your for every little item. Can you believe $1.50 for a side of ranch? Otherwise food was good. The bar at the "Dueling Pianos" is a major rip off. Charged us $9 for a domestic draft beer in a plastic cup. Better place to drink is back at the "America Grill".

I chose New York New York because of its location and price. We got a package deal with coupons for free meals and drinks. We had a corner room with an amazing view. The room was clean and beautiful, even though we chose a modest room. The staff was great as well. If I ever go back to Vegas I'd love to stay here again.

Great service, and one of the best atmospheres in the strip. Prices are a little steep, but probably worth it!

I absolutely love the roller coaster at the New York New York. I think it is a great Casino but my husband thought it was too busy!

Great decor and location. Nice clean rooms at a great rate. Plenty of food options and all you need in the casino. Plus you can get some fold-over pizza or a Nathan's dog. What more do you need?

I like the casino floor t NY NY. The theme is well presented, but it does make me wish for the real thing more than appreciate Las Vegas. There is a good Mexican place in the Coney Island area. If you want to ride the coaster, a two for one coupon can probably be found.

My first Cirque Soleil Show, I really enjoy the show and so did the group I was with. Its sizzling and humorous. There was some audience participation and that was alot of fun. Its a show for the ladies and men, Good Times!

I've stayed all over the strip. Had all sorts of experiences. This place is just bad. The outside is cool and attractive but inside is disappointing. The rooms are clean and fairly comfortable. The service is really bad. The maid walked in on my husband and Iyep, that was nice. It was in the evening and we were told that they routinely pop into the rooms at that time to checksomething? Anyway, the valet wasn't courteous, the front desk was rude. I reserved a king and got a double queen and they didn't even apologize for anything. Not the maid, not the reservation goof. Oh well, there's lots more wonderful places in Vegas!

I had such high hopes for this place, but was really let down once I stepped inside. IT was lacking something and I am not sure what it was really missing - there wasn't anything to keep me wanting to play there. I could skip it.

It's pretty fun, but if you want real roller coaster thrills, try Buffalo Bill's or if you have more guts than most people go to the Stratosphere!
